Our Services

Annual Eye Exams

Regular eye exams are a vital part of maintaining your vision and overall eye health. Comprehensive eye exams check for prescription changes and identify various eye diseases in their early stages. Medical eye exams focus on the health of the eyes rather than vision correction. At Vision Alabama, we offer both medical and comprehensive eye exams to fully evaluate your eye health and vision needs. Having your eyes fully examined once a year allows your eye doctor to detect issues before you notice any symptoms or vision changes on your own.

Eye diseases like glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration often have no warning signs in their initial stages. Identifying them early on makes treatment more effective at slowing or preventing vision loss. Diabetes and high blood pressure can also impact eye health over time if left unmanaged. An eye care professional can evaluate your retinal health and check for signs of damage.

The eye doctors at Vision Alabama provide complete eye health and vision assessments. They offer a full range of eye exam services to diagnose eye conditions, in addition to vision correction options. Protecting your eyesight at any age requires regular eye exams to monitor your vision needs and catch sight-threatening diseases early.

Contact Lens Fitting

When it comes to contact lenses, Vision Alabama offers an unparalleled selection and expertise. We proudly carry the full range of today's contact lens options from leading manufacturers.

Whether you want lightweight daily disposables or monthly lenses, astigmatism-correcting toric lenses, or multifocal lenses for presbyopia, we have the perfect lens type and brand for your lifestyle and vision needs. Getting properly fitted for contact lenses is critical to comfort and eye health.

EyeWear

Do you have refractive errors like nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism? You likely use eyewear like glasses and contact lenses. Eyewear helps correct these refractive errors, which occur when your cornea is misshapen, leading to impaired vision. Your vision may be blurry when you look at things at a distance, up close, or all the time in the case of astigmatism.

If you have refractive errors and need eyewear, you'll need eye exams at Vision Alabama. Our optometrists use tests and precise measurements to determine the best measurement for your eyes.

You'll need a new, updated prescription for your glasses and contact lenses each year. Having updated prescriptions for your eyewear is essential to avoid eye strain, headaches, and worsening vision. Seeing your Vision Alabama optometrist annually ensures that your prescription is current. But it also ensures that your eyes and vision are healthy, as eye exams are the only way to detect eye conditions that may harm your vision and ability to see. Eye exams are essential to healthy eyes and wellness at any age.

Diagnosis & Treatment of Eye Diseases

Having issues with your vision may indicate disease or damage to your eyes. If you're experiencing this, you may need to see an optometrist at Vision Alabama to receive diagnosis and treatment for eye diseases and eye conditions. During a comprehensive eye exam, you'll undergo various tests and measurements to evaluate components that affect your sight. These tests and assessments help determine what's causing visual disturbances and the best treatment options.

Treatment options range depending on what's causing problems with your vision. These can include a prescription for glasses or contact lenses, undergoing procedures like LASIK to correct refractive errors or medicated eye drops to combat infections and inflammation.

Outpatient procedures can repair damaged structures of the eye or treat conditions like glaucoma, depending on a patient's diagnosis and goals for treatment. The best treatment will depend on early diagnosis and management of eye conditions to protect vision.

Routine eye exams at Vision Alabama ensure early diagnosis of vision-stealing eye conditions and can lead to prompt treatment to save vision and keep eyes healthy.
